The first is a free 6 week online course (12 hours in total) which will help you prepare for the course, covering areas such as student motivation, classroom management, teaching skills and communication. Once signed up to the CELTA, you will also have the opportunity to do a preparatory course covering the syllabus areas as well as follow an online grammar course, designed by the ELT expert, Jo Gakonga and provided to you free of charge as part of your preparation.

There are two online courses that you can do before the CELTA.

CLIL courses are designed to inspire teachers who already teach or are considering teaching subjects in a foreign language. These are refresher/advanced course for practising teachers.
Module A focuses on methodology for teaching speaking, listening and pronunciation, linguistics, pedagogical theory, material analysis and development.
Module B focuses on methodology for teaching grammar, reading, and writing, second language acquisition, feedback and error correction.
